Ronald McDonald's Big Red Shoes Bench

On 10 November 2013, I witnessed the flag-off of 150 volunteers at MacDonald's at J.E.M Mall as

they hit the streets from 1.30pm-5.30pm, to raise awareness for Ronald McDonald House Charities

(RMHC). RHMC is an independent charity that has been running a "home-away-from-home" facility

- Ronald McDonald House(RMH) at National University Hospital (NUH) for families with children

in intensive care since January this year.

Simultaneously, there was 350 other volunteers from other McDonald's outlets hitting the streets to

raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities(RMHC) by selling Ronald Smiles at $2 each.

Every year, McDonald's will have a McHappy Day and this year, they are inviting the public to help

raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

The Ronald McDonald's Big Red Shoes Bench will be located at 4 different locations around the

island.

Dhoby Ghaut (NEL) MRT Station - 26 October- 1 November 2013
Harbourfront (NEL) MRT Station- 2 November-8 November 2013
Toa Payoh Bus Interchange          - 9 November-15 November 2013
Boon Lay Bus Interchange            -16 November-22 November 2013

If you have an Instagram account, do your part by submitting photos of yourself posing at the

bench and include the hashtag #mchappydaysg

For every photo, McDonald's will donate $1, capped at 5000 entries, to RHMC.

All proceeds from both McHappy Day fundraising activities will go to RHMC to support its

operations of RMH at NUH and McDonald's is looking to raise a total of $20,000.

Full House Signature at Clarke Quay

Together with the other bloggers, I was invited for a food tasting session by Mapwerkz at Full House

Signature Singapore which was located at 3A, Clarke Quay, River Valley Road #02-04.

It is an ideal place for birthday celebrations, weddings and gatherings as it is themed-restaurant.

The Full House Family consist of dad, Thomas, mum, Tracy, son, Tony and daughter, Tiffani.

The menu at Full House will alternate each time the family travels around the world for their annual

vacation.

I was fortunate enough to taste their signature dishes which include:

1)Fullhouse Ravioli

2)Scallop Aglio Spaghetti

 

3)Braised Lamb Shank

4)Grilled Chicken Chop with Raisin Black Pepper Sauce

There were a variety of appetisers too. For instance.....


1) Italian Meatballs

2)Crunchy Cheese Sticks

3)Golden Crabmeat Balls

4)Cream of Forest Mushroom Soup

For desserts, it was a choice between Banana Paradise or Molten Chocolate Cake.

Chuck Wagon BBQ & Grill

Chuck Wagon BBQ & Grill is run by a friendly couple who makes one feel at home when I dine

there. I went down one evening with my friends to Chuck Wagon BBQ & Grill that is located at

7, Portsdown Road.

The place is reminiscent of an American diner and situated in an open place that allows alfresco

dining and also inside which has a bar. It's a great place to hang out with friends to chill after a long

week at work.

The roast chicken was tender and the sauce that complement it was simply superb. 3 sauces to choose

from. Their buffalo wings which ranges from Level 1 to 10 (I tried Level 2 only) were tasty.

The décor of the place is very unique...check out the household utensils hanging from the ceiling...be

careful, that one might just drop onto you....just joking..

Their specialities are also a must-try, I would recommend the rib eye steak and tenderloin and prime

rib....especially if you are a carnivore like me... the portions were huge and I wish I had someone to

share it with.

 

 

The mushrooms were huge and I am sure it will be a hit with the vegetarians! There is something for

 

each and every one of us.

The desserts that they serve too were awesome and I could not resist trying not one but three desserts

(Lemoncello, Tiramisu and their special dessert-you need to ask the waiter or waitress).

The cocktails are awesome too! I had the one on the left which is Mango Martini!

I was invited to the launch of Clarke Quay's newest addition to the nightlife scene, f. Club.
